Senior Construction Estimator - Commercial and Institutional Construction - Base Salary to 135k/year - Kimberton, PA
- Our client is an established commercial and custom construction firm serving the Greater Philadelphia region. The company specializes in complex institutional, commercial, and high-end residential projects and is seeking a Senior Construction Estimator to join its preconstruction team.
- This position is responsible for preparing detailed construction estimates, performing quantity takeoffs, evaluating subcontractor and supplier proposals, and supporting project planning efforts from initial budgeting through final proposal submission.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate, detailed, and organized construction estimates and project proposals.
- Review drawings, specifications, and other project documents to determine scope and pricing requirements.
- Perform quantity takeoffs and cost analyses for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontracted work.
- Solicit, review, and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations for completeness, accuracy, and competitiveness.
- Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors, vendors, consultants, and clients.
- Assist with project budgeting, value engineering, and cost planning efforts.
- Develop and support preliminary construction schedules.
- Collaborate with project management and operations teams during preconstruction and project turnover.
Qualifications:
- 8 years of construction estimating experience.
- Experience estimating institutional, commercial, and high-end custom residential construction projects.
- Experience preparing detailed quantity takeoffs, bid packages, and project cost estimates.
- Experience reviewing subcontractor and supplier proposals.
- Proficiency with construction estimating software such as Sage, Pipeline, or similar estimating platforms.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Compensation:
- Base salary in the 110k - 135k/year range.
