Materials and Procurement Specialist - Manufacturing - Base Salary to 28.00/hour - Portland, OR
- Our client, a manufacturing company, is seeking a Materials and Procurement Specialist to support inventory control, materials planning, procurement, and purchasing activities within a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Plan procurement and purchasing activities based on inventory levels, production material requirements, and supply needs
- Monitor inventory levels and perform inventory counts, cycle counting, and inventory audits for shop and production materials
- Review invoices, purchase orders, pricing, and order quantities for accuracy
- Analyze market trends, demand trends, cost fluctuations, inventory metrics, and sales data to support purchasing decisions and prevent excess inventory and overstock
- Track supplier and vendor purchases to support delivery, material availability, and consistent quality
- Maintain inventory and purchasing information within an ERP system
- Monitor stock levels and material supply to support manufacturing operations
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of experience in buying, purchasing, procurement, inventory control, materials management, or materials planning within a manufacturing environment
- Experience with inventory management, inventory counts, inventory audits, or cycle counting
- Experience using ERP systems for inventory, purchasing, procurement, or materials tracking
Compensation:
- Base salary in the 24.00-28.00/hour range
