Manufacturing Material Handler - Fabrication and Production Support - Base Salary to 30.00/hour - Gallatin, TN
- Our client, a U.S.-based manufacturer of industrial equipment used across construction, landscaping, and transportation industries, is seeking a Manufacturing Material Handler to support production operations in their Gallatin, TN facility.
- This role operates directly on the shop floor, ensuring materials, components, and fabricated parts are properly staged, kitted, and delivered to maintain production flow across welding and assembly workstations.
Responsibilities:
- Move, stage, and deliver raw materials and fabricated components across production workstations using forklifts and pallet jacks
- Coordinate with purchasing and receiving teams to verify incoming materials and route them to appropriate production areas
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments safely and accurately
- Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and bills of materials (BOMs) to ensure correct parts are staged and kitted
- Kit materials and components for welding and fabrication teams based on production schedules and work orders
- Maintain organized inventory in storage areas, including restocking, rotation, and minimizing material waste
- Monitor production boards and schedules to ensure materials are available to meet production timelines
- Operate basic fabrication equipment including press brake and CNC plasma table in support of production needs
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with company and safety standards
Qualifications:
- Experience working in a manufacturing, fabrication, or production environment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and bills of materials (BOMs)
- Hands-on experience operating a forklift and/or pallet jack
- Experience supporting material movement, staging, or kitting within a production environment
- Familiarity with basic fabrication processes or equipment (e.g., cutting, forming, CNC plasma, press brake)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production setting with changing priorities
- Ability to lift and move materials and work on your feet throughout the shift
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
Compensation:
- Base salary in the 18.00 – 30.00/hour range
