Master Weld Fabricator

Description

Alloy Engineering, a 100% employee-owned company located in Berea, OH, is seeking a Master Weld Fabricator to execute advanced welding tasks on a variety of metals, including stainless steel, nickel alloys, and other materials. The role requires a comprehensive understanding of diverse welding techniques in various positions, including vertical, horizontal, and overhead.

Essential Functions:

• Skilled in GMAW, FCAW, and GTAW welding processes.
• Can handle traditional projects and execute most fit-ups as per AECO's requirements.
• Ensure that all welding and fabrication work meets or exceeds the standards of ASME and AWS.
• Accurately interpret and follow both written and verbal instructions to complete tasks efficiently.
• Take ownership of independently managed projects, particularly those involving non-ASME tasks, while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
• Exhibit a strong commitment to continuous learning and skill development to stay current with industry advancements.
• Demonstrate accountability for punctuality, consistent attendance, and contributing effectively to a collaborative team environment.
• Ability to work independently and manage projects with minimal supervision.
• Commitment to workplace safety, quality control, and ongoing skill improvement.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of advanced welding techniques and fabrication experience.
• Being certified in AWS is a plus.
• Must have at least one certification in GMAW or GTAW welding techniques.
• Strong aptitude in using measuring instruments- tape measures, micrometers, and calipers.
• The ability to use a forklift and operate a crane is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• The position demands physical endurance, which encompasses:
• Predominantly standing.
• Occasional lifting (weights ranging from 25 to 50 pounds).
• Tasks may also involve pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, and reaching as required.
• A standard shift duration is ten hours daily.
• Safety requirements include wearing steel-toe boots and safety glasses.

Note: The plant facility is not equipped with air conditioning.
