Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Operating Room Technician (OR Tech) to join a dynamic surgical team in Aberdeen, WA. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience and a strong understanding of surgical procedures, sterile techniques, and operating room protocols. This role plays a critical part in ensuring safe and efficient surgical operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain the operating room before, during, and after surgical procedures
• Ensure all surgical instruments and equipment are properly sterilized and organized
• Assist surgeons and surgical staff during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
• Maintain a sterile field and adhere to infection control standards
• Perform sponge, needle, and instrument counts in accordance with hospital policy
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team to ensure smooth workflow
• Handle specimens according to protocol
• Assist with patient positioning, preparation, and transport as needed

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience as an OR Tech
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and aseptic techniques
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
