What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Supervisor position at Allied Resources Technical Consultants?
Summary
ARTC is looking to fill a critical Maintenance Supervisor role within their Generation organization. This is a dual-function position that combines technical outage planning with hands-on field supervision, and it sits at the center of how this utility delivers safe, reliable power across its generating fleet.
What You Will Be Doing
- Develop and manage comprehensive overhaul work packages for steam and gas turbine and generator units, drawing on operational history, OEM technical documentation, and demand maintenance inputs to build a complete scope from the ground up
- Serve as the day-to-day field lead during overhaul execution, directing foremen and allocating craft labor to keep the outage on schedule and within budget
- Build and maintain detailed outage schedules in Primavera P6, tracking progress daily and communicating scope changes, schedule impacts, and budget variances to plant and department management as they arise
- Coordinate vendor and contractor resources for work that falls outside in-house workforce capabilities, including contract administration and performance oversight
- Support project planning during non-outage periods, including capital project planning, constructability reviews, and identifying potential execution risks before work begins
What We Are Looking For
- A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in power plant maintenance, with direct exposure to steam turbine, gas turbine, and/or diesel generator overhauls and repair
- Strong working knowledge of turbine and generator mechanical systems, including the ability to develop detailed work lists and evaluate OEM technical documentation independently
- Demonstrated experience planning and scheduling outage work using Primavera P6 or a comparable project planning tool
- Ability to operate effectively within a matrixed organization, coordinating union craft labor through foremen and managing outside contractors simultaneously
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline preferred; candidates with equivalent field experience and a track record of overhaul planning and supervision will be strongly considered
