JOB OVERVIEW
Allied Flooring & Paint is growing, and we have a new opportunity for a motivated, detail-oriented Measure Technician in our flooring division. This is a fast-paced, high-accountability role in a company that moves quickly and takes pride in getting it right the first time. The ideal candidate has strong customer service skills, a team-first attitude, sharp time management, and takes personal ownership of the accuracy of their work.
Projects include various types of flooring across residential, commercial, property management, and new construction. We service all of Massachusetts and Connecticut; this position primarily covers Western Massachusetts and Connecticut.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Travel to job sites to take measurements, inspect site conditions, and take detailed notes on the space and the scope of work required for the project.
- Conduct precise, verified measurements of floors, walls, stairs, etc. — accuracy is critical, as your prints drive material orders and installation.
- Interact with customers during the measure appointment while representing the Allied Flooring & Paint Core Values.
- Utilize a mobile device, laser measure, measuring tape, and Measure Square software to create the job print and scope of work.
- Provide the sales team with accurate measure prints and scope of work.
- Visit installation sites during and after projects to inspect the quality of work.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols in the office and on the road at all times.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle.
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
- Strong communication skills — both verbal and written.
- Thorough attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Takes ownership of mistakes and follows through without being chased.
- Proficiency in using measuring tools such as laser measures and measuring tapes.
- Comfortable using computers, mobile devices/tablets, and able to learn our measure software.
- Experience in flooring installation, sales, or estimating strongly preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

REVIEW PERIOD
This position includes a 90-day introductory review period to ensure a strong fit for both the employee and Allied Flooring & Paint.
