About Allied Community Care

Allied Community Care is a growing provider of high-quality direct support services in Pennsylvania. We are committed to individualized, programmatic care that empowers the people we support to thrive. As we expand our presence in York County and across the Commonwealth, we are building a team that shares our passion for excellence, dignity, and client-centered service.

Position Overview

The Client Services Specialist is a role that goes far beyond filling a temporary staffing gap. You will be the person who launches services with excellence, builds deep knowledge of each client, and ensures that the transition to a dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) team is seamless, informed, and set up for long-term success.

When not actively onboarding new clients, this role supports Pennsylvania quality assurance through field observation and DSP coaching — helping Allied maintain its commitment to excellence across every service delivered.

Key Responsibilities

Client Discovery & Service Launch

  • Begin working with new clients on a phased schedule during the Client Discovery and Launch Period, providing direct support from day one
  • Learn each client's personality, communication style, routines, preferences, strengths, support needs, goals, and family priorities
  • Integrate new clients into the Allied way of care — demonstrating the values, culture, and standards that define our services
  • Gather and document detailed client insights to guide individualized programming and DSP team matching
  • Collaborate with the program team to build tailored support plans and ensure client-centered goal alignment
  • Facilitate a smooth, well-prepared transition from the launch period to the client's long-term dedicated DSP or DSP team

Quality Assurance & Field Coaching

  • Conduct on-site observations of active DSPs in York County and surrounding areas to assess service quality and adherence to Allied standards
  • Provide real-time coaching, feedback, and support to DSPs in the field to reinforce expectations and encourage growth
  • Document observations and coaching interactions, reporting findings to program leadership
  • Identify and escalate quality concerns or service risks in a timely and professional manner
  • Support the application of CIA — Culture in Action — principles across all client interactions and team engagements

Documentation & Communication

  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation of client interactions, support notes, progress toward goals, and field coaching reports
  • Communicate proactively with supervisors, families, and service coordinators regarding client status and service delivery
  • Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and program development initiatives as requested

Qualifications

Required

  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in direct support, human services, disability services, or a closely related field
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a genuine commitment to person-centered care
  • Ability to build trust and rapport quickly with clients, families, and team members
  • Highly organized with strong documentation habits and attention to detail
  • Valid Pennsylvania driver's license and reliable transportation; ability to travel throughout York County and surrounding areas
  • Ability to pass required background checks and clearances, including PA State Police, PA Child Abuse History, and FBI clearance
  • Flexibility in scheduling, including the ability to work varied hours to meet client and program needs

Preferred

  • Experience in skill acquisition, behavior support, or programmatic direct care
  • Familiarity with Pennsylvania Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) waiver services
  • Experience in a coaching, mentoring, or quality assurance capacity
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Psychology, Education, or a related field. Compensation & Benefits
  • Competitive salary wage commensurate with experience
  • Paid training and onboarding
  • Mileage reimbursement for field travel
  • Opportunities for advancement as the Pennsylvania program grows
  • Supportive, mission-driven team culture
