Manufacturing Team Lead, High-Volume Pressing Guide a high-performance press team, safeguard people and product, and drive continuous improvement in a rapid-throughput environment. Role Snapshot Lead the stamping press department to meet ambitious output, quality, and delivery commitments.Embed a safety-first culture: audits, training, PPE verification, and swift correction of hazards.Practice servant leadership—coach, empower, recognize, and foster inclusion and respect.Develop people: train and mentor, expand cross-skills, and manage attendance and conduct with consistency.Serve as the primary contact for employee relations and partner with union stewards on contract and disciplinary topics.Allocate manpower to maximize machine utilization; adapt rapidly as priorities and schedules change.Troubleshoot to minimize downtime and keep production flowing.Lead 5S, Kaizen, and Lean projects; analyze downtime, scrap, and bottlenecks; deploy countermeasures with quality, maintenance, and engineering.Collect and maintain accurate production, quality, and safety data; report KPIs to leadership.Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve quality, tooling, and maintenance issues under tight timelines. Qualifications Experience & Knowledge Demonstrated servant-leadership capability.1–3 years in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing setting.Prior manufacturing supervision; high-volume metal stamping press experience preferred.Applied understanding of Lean principles and continuous improvement. Education Bachelor’s degree in Business, Manufacturing Engineering, or Operations preferred.Relevant professional, internship, or co-op experience will be considered. Physical Requirements Regular stooping, bending, and long periods of standing.Manual dexterity; ability to lift up to 50 lbs without assistance.
