Lead the next wave of manufacturing automation
Join Alliance Laundry Systems to architect, deliver, and scale controls and automation solutions across our plants. You’ll manage vendor-delivered systems, develop in-house capabilities, and set the bar for how software changes, safety, and standards are done.
Your impact
- Grow and coach a team of automation and controls engineers.
- Own electrical controls/automation projects, enforcing engineering standards and best practices.
- Act as the escalation path (not first response) for plant reliability on PLCs, HMIs, Andon, VFDs, and servo motion control.
- Direct software change management: optimize programs and maintain detailed records.
- Shape enterprise guidelines for electrical engineering, controls, automation, Industry 4.0, and IoT.
- Drive cross-plant improvement initiatives with manufacturing, corporate engineering, and union partners.
- Facilitate root cause analysis for electrical, instrumentation, and control issues.
- Create processes and support tools that maximize software and operations effectiveness.
Core qualifications
- BS in Electrical/Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent technical degree with relevant experience.
- Proven leadership of multi-disciplinary project teams.
- Track record delivering electrical, controls, and automation capital projects in manufacturing/assembly.
- Robotics integration experience.
- Leadership in project management for electrical/controls/automation systems.
- Desired: PLC/software programming skills—Allen‑Bradley as the primary platform; Siemens exposure a plus.
- Experience implementing Andon, Industry 4.0, and IoT systems (Ignition preferred).
- Safety expertise including machine guarding and risk assessment analysis.
- Ability to read/apply hydraulic and pneumatic schematics and detailed mechanical drawings for controls work.
- Preferred tools: AutoCAD, Creo, Fusion.
