What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping-Receiving position at Alliance Innovations LLC?
Alliance Innovations is a family owned and operated business that is currently seeking Shipping-Receiving. We work four 10 hours shifts Monday thru Thursday. We are closed on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Overtime may be scheduled on Fridays per business needs. This is an on-site position, not remote.
Purpose of the Role/Role Overview:
Manages the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies, while collaborating, communicating and evaluating logistics for other internal departments. Coordinates the transfer and traceability of both incoming and outgoing raw materials and finished product.
General Duties/Key Responsibilities:
Unpack and examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages, and correspond with companies to rectify damages and shortages.
Update Project Specific Bill of Materials to record receipt of material dates.
Communicate and document with payables the receipt of packing slips and outgoing finished product.
Maintain cleanliness throughout the warehouse and carry out facilities maintenance duties, as needed.
Excel at organization and is detailed-focused aware while promoting a sense of urgency.
Engage with various delivery personnel and drivers, respectfully.
Able to focus on multiple tasks with tight deadlines.
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or GED.
Front Load Forklift Experience, Preferred.
1 year experience with shipping/receiving, preferred.
Microsoft Office Experience, Preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Be able to be in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment being exposed to forklift, machining, and potentially other loud noises.
Be able to wear all necessary PPE such as steel toed boots, safety glasses, etc.
Climbing stairs.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
