Controller

Salary Range: $115,000 - $130,000
The Controller has an integral role in our operations. You will be a hands-on leader who will work closely with the accounting supervisors to assist in day-to-day transactions for all accounts payables, accounts receivable and full cycle accounting responsibilities. You will also play a critical role in delivering financial data and analysis to the CFO to present solid Financial Statements to the owners.

Successful candidates will have at least 5 years of experience managing an accounting team as well as a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Controller in a previous role.
- Ensure data integrity in accounting systems.
- Ensures that cash flow is appropriate for the organization’s operations.
- Manages an accounting staff of 10-12 individuals that support all aspects of full cycle accounting.
- Management of accounting staff for all full cycle accounting processes and procedures.
- Ensure proper closing of accounting books for monthly and year-end closing.
- Reviews daily and monthly activity of payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, sales commissions, account reconciliations and Sales and Use Tax submissions.
- Ensures complete set up of new locations including payroll mapping, business tax registrations, licensing, certificates of insurance and financing terminals.
- Establishes and executes accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
- Oversees management of ERP System Sage Intacct
- Works with CFO and external accounting firms with closing and reconciliations of financial statements/accounting records for submission of tax returns.
- Establishes cross-training processes, procedures, and efficiencies among all accounting functions within the department.

Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required, CPA or MBA preferred
- Must be proficient in Excel with an intermediate to advanced skill set.
- 10-15years of full cycle accounting experience
- Detail-oriented and excellent organizational skills: Accuracy is essential.
- Must be well organized and able to multitask efficiently.
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Must be proficient in MS Office and have good computer skills.
- Must have the ability to sit at a desk for 70%-90% of the workday in a general office environment.
