YOUR DAY AS A REVENUE ACCOUNTANT
As a Revenue Accountant with our HCM company, you oversee the billing operations, ensuring that all expense tracking and third-party service billings run smoothly. You build and refine scalable billing workflows and internal controls, working closely with the finance team to strategize on forecasting and budgeting tied to recurring revenue. Your analytical skills shine as you lead efforts to enhance data accuracy, eliminate leakage, and capture any missed revenue. You prepare monthly revenue and margin reports, diving into variance analysis to provide insights on key drivers affecting financial performance. Reviewing billing setups for both active and terminated clients, you ensure accuracy to maximize revenue capture. Additionally, you support the Assistant Controller with GAAP reporting, audits, and various back-office operations, contributing to the organization's overall financial integrity. Each task you handle is a step toward creating a more efficient and profitable accounting process.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
- Bachelor's Degree in accounting or finance
- 4 years of experience in billing, accounting operations, or revenue support
- Strong proficiency in Excel and willingness to learn SQL, able to build reports, reconciliations, and audit trails from raw data
- Comfortable reconciling data and resolving discrepancies
- Proficient in billing systems and accounting software
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication skills and experience collaborating across teams
Bonus qualifications:
- Prior involvement in financial planning in collaboration with FP&A or finance
- Working knowledge of SQL
- Experience with third-party integrations or vendor billing
- Exposure to sales tax processes or compliance
- Background in a SaaS, HCM, or payroll environment
- Prior experience in a high-growth company
