Position: Unit Clerk
Facility: Alliance Care Rehabilitation and Nursing Center
Location: Irvington, New Jersey
Shift: Full-Time | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Salary: $17 per hour

We are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Unit Clerk to join our team. This key role supports the nursing department in its daily administrative operations and contributes to the overall efficiency and quality of resident care.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare admission charts and initiate necessary documentation for new residents
Fax physician orders from previous shifts each morning and deliver them to relevant departments
Update resident charts with daily vitals and weights
Restock nursing station supplies and maintain cleanliness and organization
Manage incoming calls and forward messages appropriately
Schedule resident appointments with physicians and communicate details to nursing staff
Make outbound calls to physicians, families, or staff as needed
Type documents and correspondence as requested by Nursing Administration
Coordinate scheduling of agency personnel as directed by the Director of Nursing Services (DNS)
Notify Dietary Department of any changes in residents' dietary needs
Maintain up-to-date bathing schedules for nurse aides
Provide courteous assistance to visitors, residents, and staff
Order and manage medical supplies under DNS supervision
Fill supply requests when Central Supply Clerk is unavailable
Qualifications:
Proficient in computer systems, office applications, and standard office equipment
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities
Willingness to learn and implement new procedures and practices
