Main Duties & Responsibilities
JOB SUMMARY:
Assist the Blind Header Operator to operate single and/or multi-die headers for manufacturing precision aircraft quality fasteners.
Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Competencies:
Assist the Blind Header Operator reading and interpreting documents (blue prints, drawing, or manufacturing work orders), to ascertain what tools and materials are necessary for producing products to precision tolerance to aircraft specification.
Assist the Blind Header Operator operating on a production basis, all assigned headers and their related products. This includes adjustments required to produce parts to specifications. Selects, mounts, and aligns tooling attachments and materials in proper order and relationship. Make adjustments necessary to produce parts of acceptable quality.
Assist the Blind Header Operator loading machines with raw material and monitors production run using measuring devices, such as, comparators, micrometers, calipers and various other inspect gauges.
Assist the Blind Header Operator to keep accurate statistical process control records, when required, on each job manufactured, making adjustments during production run as the SPC data directs.
Assist the Blind Header Operator meeting and maintaining all productivity levels and quality requirements to support departmental goals and schedules.
Assist the Blind Header Operator performing minor preventative maintenance on assigned machines.
Assist the Blind Header Operator performing record keeping, data entry, housekeeping, and follows safety regulations.
Qualifications
OTHER COMPETENCIES:
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Blueprint Reading:
Ability to read and understand blueprints.
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED). 0-1 years’ experience in machines; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Compensation
In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the expected pay range for this position is $24.00- $34.00
Compensation can vary depending on several factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, experience, competencies, and geographic location. Some roles may qualify for extra incentives like equity, commissions, or other variable performance-related bonuses.
