Job Summary

The Director, IT Operations is responsible is responsible for the enterprise infrastructure technology roadmap, architecture, and operations. This position is operationally responsible for ensuring availability, integrity, scalability and security for all IS&T systems and technology infrastructure as well as a highly effective and efficient service management function. Reporting to the Executive Director-Head of IT, the Director, IT Operations is a key leadership role who will direct the teams in charge of network services, infrastructure management and monitoring, cyber security, end user service management and new practice acquisitions and moves.  The role is a forward-looking technology leader who can develop an infrastructure and operations strategy and drive it through to execution and support. This role works closely with the CIO and peer IS&T leaders in designing and executing the technology roadmap.

Key Responsibilities

  • A key member of the CIO’s leadership team that is responsible for delivering information services, delivering business value by improving outcomes, experiences and team efficiencies in a transparent and cost efficient way, while creating a positive and engaging work environment
  • Attract, develop, and lead high performing infrastructure and operations technology professionals to ensure the reliable delivery of IS&T services.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement to improve quality, efficiency and standards
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of a strategic, long-term technology infrastructure strategy and roadmap to ensure our ability to deliver services enabling exceptional patient care
  • Accountable for the development and implementation of a Cybersecurity Program that meets the needs of Allergy Partners according to industry standard methods (e.g. NIST: Educate, Protect, Detect, Identify, Respond and Recover). 
  • Define architectural guidelines and implement service monitoring across all platforms to ensure high availability and disaster recovery capabilities
  • Leads the IT Service Management team to ensure our processes support our teams’ ability to delivery in a secure, compliant and effective manner
  • Operationally responsible for ensuring the availability, integrity, scalability and security for all IS&T systems and technology infrastructure
  • Oversight and management of outsourced agreements
  • Develops and organizes policies and procedures for the development and secure use of technology infrastructure systems, capabilities and services
  • Ensure cost-effective design, development, integration, implementation and maintenance of new services, equipment, and systems in support of business objectives
  • Negotiate IS&T related contracts to ensure cost-effective agreements are achieved, interests are protected and business value is added
  • Monitors trends, developments and best practices in technology infrastructure in anticipation of changing requirements, expectations and opportunities; assesses technical, financial and organizational implementation

Other Responsibilities

  • Maintains patient confidentiality; complies with HIPAA and compliance guidelines

established by Allergy Partners.

  • Completes all assigned AP training within designated timeframes.
  • Complies with Allergy Partners and respective hub/department policies and reports incidents of policy violations to a Supervisor/Manager/Director, Department of Compliance & Privacy or via the AP EthicsPoint hotline.
  • Maintain compliance with all policies and procedures, actively participate in enforcement of all ongoing Cybersecurity efforts to ensure safe and secure IT systems for all employees and clients at Allergy Partners. Remain vigilant and aware of new threats and assist the company by fulfilling an active role in observing, enforcement and reporting of cybersecurity incidents.

Qualifications:

Qualifications

  • Passionate about building high performing teams

  • Experience in managerial duties (i.e. hiring, performance appraisals, providing feedback, merit reviews)
  • High standards of ethics, discipline, and professionalism

Educational and Experience Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information systems (MIS) or an approved field of study, highly preferred
  • Ten years IT and/or business leadership experience with 5 years of planning, implementation and management of enterprise technology infrastructure

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous health care provider experience
  • Previous IT Service Management Experience

Supervisory Responsibilities

This job is a supervisor the Information Systems and Technology (IS&T) department.

Physical Demands

  • No or very limited exposure to physical risk.
  • Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.

Salary : $145,950 - $195,000
