Assistant Director of Project Management
About the Role
Allen Industries is hiring an Assistant Director of Project Management to lead day-to-day execution across project teams and drive operational performance across key accounts and verticals. This is a hands-on leadership role—you will lead Team Leads, ensure project delivery performance, and translate company strategy into executable results.
What You’ll Do
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, Project Management, or related field
- Lead and manage Project Management Team Leads across assigned verticals
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget/margin expectations
- Monitor workload, staffing alignment, and team performance
- Serve as the escalation point for project and personnel issues
- Identify risks early and implement corrective actions to protect timelines and margins
- Coach, develop, and hold Team Leads accountable for results and communication
- Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Estimating, Design, Operations, and Installation teams
- Review project financials, forecasts, and budget variances
- Drive process improvements and standardization across teams
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, Project Management, or related field
- 7 years of progressive project management experience
- 7 years in a leadership role with direct people management
- Proven experience leading managers or team leads
- PMP Certification Preferred
