Summary:
American Industrial Contractors is seeking a motivated HVAC Director of Operations to oversee daily operations in Greensboro, NC. This role is responsible for supporting and supervising department managers and ensuring the seamless delivery of high-quality services to commercial and industrial clients.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Directly supervise, mentor, and support department leaders.
- In collaboration with EHS Director, ensure all team members follow company safety policies and industry best practices.
- Manage day-to-day field and production operations to ensure efficiency and profitability.
- Oversee scheduling of jobs in coordination with the project management and customer service teams.
- Track job progress and resolve delays or operational issues to ensure timely completion.
- Monitor workload, assign teams appropriately, and ensure adequate staffing coverage to deliver quality work.
- Coordinate with warehouse and purchasing teams to ensure parts and materials are available as needed.
- Collaborate with NPC Shared Services team for Financial, IT, HR, and Safety needs.
- Serve as the main point of contact for escalated customer issues and ensure prompt resolution.
- Prepare regular reports for senior leadership and participate in operational strategy meetings.
- Perform regular inspections of work in progress to ensure quality control and code compliance
- Pursue objectives of insuring installations follow industry standards and best practices, and inspections pass on initial attempts.
Qualification requirements:
- Minimum 8 years of HVAC industry experience, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or management role.
- Proven leadership and team development skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Working knowledge of HVAC systems, construction processes, and applicable regulations.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Experience managing P&L for a department or division.
- Ability to read and understand English.
