ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES are as follows:
· Analyze customer requirements and establish best processes to meet those needs.
· Identifies labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
· Computes costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements.
· Resolves discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
· Presents prepared estimate by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information.
· Prepares cost reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
· Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
· Collaborate with engineers, customers, suppliers, and management on estimates.
· Gather information on materials needed, labor requirements, and other factors.
· Work closely with the sales representatives to market and attract new and maintain existing customers.
· Follow up with customers via phone and email
· Be able to identify critical part requirements and determine the correct tooling process needed to process estimate.
· Stays on task and requires very little supervision to achieve estimating goals and initiatives.
· Organizational skills are a must.
· Must be thorough and work well with customers and fellow co-workers.
· Knowledge of Microsoft office products is a plus.
SKILLS
• Knowledge of metals and their physical and structural properties
• Interpret and understand technical specifications.
• Excellent planning, organization, communications and interpersonal skills
Education and/or Experience:
High School diploma or general education degree (GED); and a minimum of four years related experience and/or vocational training; or experience in a metal fabrication shop.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to apply practical application of fractions, percentages, ratio and proportion, measurement, practical algebra, geometric construction, and essentials of trigonometry and to read and interpret metal rule, caliper and micrometer.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply principles of rational systems to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule form.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee works in a normal office environment. This position occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and can be exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. Some dust, noise, oils, greases, grinding debris, compressed air, metal shavings, propane and solvents. Extended CRT viewing and keyboarding exists. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
