Project Manager – PE, Civil Projects
Location: Charleston, SC
Salary: $135,000 per annum Benefits

My client one of South Carolina’s fastest-growing engineering companies based in beautiful Charleston—and are looking for a passionate, skilled, and driven Civil Project Manager to help lead innovative infrastructure projects that make a lasting impacts across North & South Carolina!
As a Civil Project Manager you’ll be at the helm of dynamic and diverse projects—overseeing everything from technical design to client relationships. You’ll lead cross-functional teams, manage budgets and timelines, liaise with permitting agencies, and play a pivotal role in mentoring the next generation of engineering talent. Your work will directly shape communities across the Carolinas, and you’ll do it with the backing of a company that values integrity, innovation, and collaboration.
You will lead the design, permitting, and delivery of civil engineering projects from kick off to closeout, ensuring effective management of project budgets, schedules, and quality control throughout. Collaborate closely with clients, contractors, consultants, and government agencies to maintain clear communication and alignment. Oversee the preparation of design plans, technical reports, and permit applications, while guiding and mentoring junior engineers, designers, and interns to support professional development and project success. Apply practical engineering insight to resolve field issues efficiently and actively engage in business development and community involvement.
You will ideally possess the following:
- 5–10 years of experience in civil design and project management
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- EIT or P.E certification
- Strong working knowledge of permitting processes and project lifecycles
- Proven experience managing full-scope civil projects
- Ability to lead, mentor, and inspire team members
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as needed
