We're partnering with a well-established General Contractor with an outstanding reputation for delivering high-quality construction projects throughout the Carolinas. Due to continued growth and a strong secured backlog, they're looking to appoint an experienced Project Executive to join their Hickory, NC office.
This is an excellent opportunity for a proven construction professional looking to join a business with long-term stability and a diverse pipeline of work. The company is actively delivering and preparing to break ground on multiple multifamily, mixed-use, student housing, senior living, healthcare, industrial and commercial projects, providing excellent long-term career prospects and stability.
The successful candidate will play a key role in leading projects from preconstruction through closeout while mentoring project teams, maintaining client relationships and driving successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead construction projects from preconstruction through final completion
- Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, forecasts and financial reporting
- Oversee subcontractor procurement, buyout, contract administration and change management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, architects, engineers, consultants and subcontractors
- Coordinate RFIs, submittals, procurement activities and project documentation
- Work closely with Superintendents to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule and within budget
- Identify project risks and implement effective mitigation strategies
- Mentor Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers
- Drive project profitability while maintaining exceptional client satisfaction
- Support business development through strong client relationships and repeat business opportunities
What We're Looking For
- 8 years' project management experience with a General Contractor
- Proven track record delivering ground-up construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
Experience within one or more of the following sectors:
- Multifamily
- Mixed-Use
- Student Housing
- Senior Living
- Healthcare
- Industrial
- Commercial
- Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, procurement and contract administration
- Experience leading project teams and coordinating multiple stakeholders
- Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or a related discipline preferred
