Title: Maintenance Technician

Location: Buffalo, New York

Compensation: $24 - $35/hour

My client is a leading food and beverage manufacturer in the Buffalo area, and they are looking for a skilled and reliable maintenance tech to join their team. This critical role is responsible for performing repairs and maintenance to ensure the reliability and efficiency of our processing and packaging equipment in a fast-paced, 24/7 facility.

What You’ll Do:

• Perform preventive maintenance (PMs), emergency repairs, and changeovers on processing and packaging equipment to minimize production downtime.
• Adhere to strict GMPs, sanitation protocols (including working in wet wash-down environments), and all food safety regulations (e.g., SQF, HACCP).
• Diagnose and resolve issues with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Work collaboratively with production operators to identify issues and improve line efficiency and product quality.
• Accurately log work orders, parts usage, and PM tasks in our CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
• Follow all safety protocols and actively participate in creating a safe work environment.

What We’re Looking For:

• 3 years of maintenance experience in an industrial setting; food, beverage, or CPG manufacturing is highly preferred.
• Strong hands-on skills with industrial machinery; experience with food-grade processing/packaging equipment is a strong plus.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
• Basic PLC troubleshooting knowledge is a significant advantage.
• Understanding of GMPs and food safety standards.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive, self-motivated work ethic.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, overtime, and participate in an on-call rotation as required.
