Ready to take ownership of estimating within a growing electrical division?
Allegiance Group is partnering with an established General Contractor to recruit an Electrical Estimator for its Charlotte-based electrical division.
This is an opportunity to become the business’s first dedicated internal estimator, working directly with the Electrical division lead to price projects, identify opportunities and shape the bidding process. With a steady flow of enquiries, they need someone who can take initiative and confidently manage estimates from initial invitation through submission.
Projects typically involve electrical packages valued at $100,000–$500,000, predominantly across commercial tenant improvements, renovations, airport facilities and municipal work.
As an Electrical Estimator you will:
- Prepare accurate electrical estimates, including takeoffs, labour, materials and supplier pricing.
- Review drawings and specifications to establish scope and identify potential risks.
- Assess incoming bid invitations and prioritise opportunities suited to the division.
- Manage multiple estimates, targeting approximately five to six submissions per week, depending on complexity.
- Work closely with the division lead to support bid decisions and project handovers.
- Build relationships with general contractors, suppliers and project partners.
What We’re Looking For:
- Ideally 3 years of dedicated electrical estimating experience.
- A strong understanding of commercial electrical installations, particularly renovations and tenant improvements.
- Confidence managing the estimating process independently.
- Strong organisation, attention to detail and communication skills.
- Experience with McCormick, ConEst or similar estimating software. The business is flexible on the platform used.
There is also genuine flexibility: hybrid working with approximately two to three office days per week is available for someone who can manage their workload and deliver consistently.
