Duties
- Lead and supervise all store activities, including sales, customer service, inventory management, and staff scheduling.
- Recruit, interview, and onboard new team members, ensuring a strong and capable workforce.
- Develop and execute effective sales strategies to meet or exceed targets while fostering a positive shopping environment.
- Manage payroll, bookkeeping, cash handling, and POS (Point of Sale) systems to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Oversee inventory control, purchasing, pricing, and merchandising to optimize product presentation and stock levels.
- Conduct employee orientation, training & development sessions to enhance team skills and performance.
- Monitor store operations during shifts, ensuring compliance with company policies and safety standards.
- Handle customer inquiries with professionalism using excellent phone etiquette and communication skills.
- Implement marketing initiatives to increase store visibility and sales within the community.
- Maintain organizational standards for retail math, budgeting, and retail sales management to maximize profitability.
Requirements
- Proven management experience in retail or grocery store environments with supervising responsibilities.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster a collaborative work culture.
- Excellent communication skills in multiple languages or bilingual proficiency preferred for diverse customer engagement.
- Demonstrated experience in recruiting, interviewing, employee orientation, and training & development.
- Proficiency with POS systems, inventory management software, cash handling procedures, and retail math.
- Knowledge of retail sales techniques including merchandising, pricing strategies, and marketing initiatives.
- Ability to manage payroll processing, bookkeeping tasks, budgeting, and administrative duties efficiently.
- Experience with shift management, stock stocking procedures, inventory control, and store merchandising standards.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in cashiering operations and store maintenance.
- Familiarity with wireless sales or other specialty product categories is a plus.
- Bilingual or multilingual capabilities are highly desirable for serving diverse customer bases effectively.
