Job Summary:
The Lead Medical Coordinator serves as the primary liaison between our foster youth (ages 5–17) and healthcare providers. This role is vital for ensuring that minors in our foster family services program receive comprehensive, trauma-informed, and timely medical care. They will lead the medical department, overseeing everything from primary care appointments and immunizations to the maintenance of accurate medical records in compliance our federal contractors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Care Coordination: Coordinate team-based medical care for clients, including managing appointments, medications, and health-related resource development.
- Compliance & Documentation: Maintain, submit, and audit accurate medical files and statistics. This includes reviewing the federal contractor portal to ensure information is updated for safety and timely discharge.
- Leadership: Directly supervise, coach, and mentor medical department staff, providing guidance on work performance and clinical protocols.
- Stakeholder Liaison: Establish and maintain partnerships with medical providers and provide families, sponsors, and clients with necessary medical updates.
- Advocacy: Attend team meetings to represent the specific medical needs of the clients and provide documentation regarding any delays in medical assessments.
Qualifications:

- 2 years working experience in child welfare.
- 1 year of employment in public health or a healthcare setting with demonstrated
- experience in care coordination, health administration, or direct clinical care.
- AND Any of the following:
- Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) with a Bachelor’s; OR
- Higher health-related qualification (e.g. Physician Assistant, Nurse Practitioner)

Salary : $80,000 - $88,000
