Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Medical Biller / A/R Collector to join a healthcare team in Loma Linda. This role is responsible for managing accounts receivable, resolving insurance billing issues, and ensuring accurate reimbursement from multiple payors. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of insurance billing processes, denial management, and A/R follow-up.
Key Responsibilities
Perform accounts receivable collections and billing across multiple insurance contracts and entities
Analyze and audit patient accounts to ensure accurate balances and appropriate follow-up
Monitor outstanding claims and resolve collection issues with insurance payors
Work rejections and denials to ensure timely claim resolution and reimbursement
Contact insurance companies to obtain claim status updates and follow up on unpaid claims
Submit tracer claims and rebill claims when necessary
Process phone, online, and written inquiries related to billing and collections
Identify misapplied payments and initiate adjustments, transfers, refunds, or payment corrections
Maintain accurate documentation of collection activities
Qualifications
Previous experience in medical billing, A/R follow-up, or medical collections
Knowledge of insurance billing processes, denials management, and claims follow-up
Experience working with multiple insurance payors
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple accounts and meet deadlines
