Description
The Mental Health Clinician will work within our growing Behavioral Health Services team. The Mental Health Clinician will participate as a member of the multidisciplinary team, providing service to people who have both intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) and mental health needs.
The Mental Health Clinician is responsible for providing behavioral health services, including but not limited to assessment, treatment planning, therapy/counseling, community support and case management, including crisis intervention when needed. Services are focused on promoting wellness, recovery and independence in the home, community or office setting. This role will involve interaction with the person’s support network, including but not limited to family members, guardians, natural supports, and medical providers.
Requirements
Education/Experience Requirements
1. Must have a master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, rehabilitation counseling, pastoral counseling, family therapy or another related human service field
2. Clinical License (LCSW, LCPC, LMFT, etc) required
3. Successfully completed 1,000 hours of practicum and/or internship under clinical and educational supervision
4. At least one year of documented clinical experience under the supervision of a QMHP
5. At least one year of experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred
6. Knowledge of Medicaid preferred
