Job Title: Bookkeeper
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to manage financial transactions and ensure accurate financial records. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record and maintain financial transactions
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements
- Maintain general ledger and ensure accuracy of financial data
- Prepare financial reports such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports
- Process invoices, payments, and payroll as needed
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
- Support audits by providing necessary documentation
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role, minimum 5 years experience
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with payroll processing
- Familiarity with tax preparation and reporting
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
