Job Responsibilities
- Create and revise 2D and 3D technical drawings for parts, components, and assemblies using CAD software
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date drawing records within the inventory management system
- Assist in cataloging and cross-referencing parts with corresponding technical documentation
- Collaborate with engineers, procurement, and warehouse staff to verify part specifications and inventory data
- Support the creation of Bills of Materials (BOMs) and parts lists
- Ensure all drawings meet company standards, tolerances, and formatting requirements
- Identify and flag discrepancies between physical inventory and documented specifications
- Perform basic redlines and as-built drawing updates as directed by senior engineers
- Associate's degree or certificate in Drafting, CAD Technology, Engineering Technology, or a related field β OR equivalent hands-on training
- Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor and/or AutoCAD (2D drafting required)
- Basic understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), and technical specifications
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
- Effective communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
- Experience with SolidWorks, Inventor, or other 3D CAD platforms
- Familiarity with ERP or inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Fishbowl)
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as machining, fabrication, or assembly
- Experience using Microsoft Office (Excel in particular for BOM management)
