Duties
- Perform routine cleaning of data hall floors, equipment areas, and surrounding facilities using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and vacuums.
- Handle chemical agents safely during cleaning processes, adhering strictly to chemical handling safety procedures.
- Conduct heavy lifting tasks following safe lifting practices to move cleaning supplies, equipment, or waste materials.
- Maintain sanitation standards by disinfecting surfaces, cable trays, and other high-touch areas within the data hall environment.
- Operate custodial equipment efficiently to ensure floors and surfaces are kept in optimal condition for safety and operational efficiency.
- Follow all safety protocols during cleaning activities, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and chemical handling procedures.
- Assist with general facilities maintenance tasks as needed to support the overall cleanliness and functionality of the data center.
Requirements
- Osha -10
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience, preferably within industrial or commercial environments such as data centers or facilities maintenance.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques including floor buffing, sanitation practices, and use of cleaning equipment.
- Experience with chemical agent handling safety procedures and proper storage of cleaning supplies.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting while maintaining safe lifting practices.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety protocol adherence in a high-security environment.
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with team members and facility staff.
- Prior experience in industrial cleaning or porter roles is highly desirable.
