- Lead & Develop Team: Manage, mentor, and coach procurement staff, setting goals and KPIs to drive performance.
- Strategic Sourcing: Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers for hurricane protection materials (storm shutters, impact-resistant systems, structural hardware).
- Vendor Management: Maintain strong relationships, monitor performance, resolve disputes, and ensure compliance with contracts.
- Process Optimization: Develop and implement procurement policies, workflows, and cost-control strategies.
- Budget & Reporting: Track procurement budgets, identify cost-saving opportunities, and provide insight to senior leadership.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Operations, Project Management, and Estimating teams to align procurement with project timelines.
- Compliance & Industry Knowledge: Ensure procurement activities meet industry standards, codes, and regulations.
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (MBA preferred).
- 7 years of procurement/purchasing experience, including 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Proven experience in strategic sourcing, vendor negotiation, and supply chain management.
- Strong knowledge of hurricane protection materials and the construction/manufacturing industry required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP/procurement software (NetSuite or similar).
- Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Occasional travel may be required to vendor sites or project locations.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field required.
- At least three years of experience in related field required.
