Digital ASIC / Logic Design Engineer (Green Card or US Citizen Only)
Background
Our client is seeking experienced Digital ASIC / Logic Design Engineers to support the development of next-generation high-performance semiconductor test and instrumentation platforms. These engineers will play a key role in the architecture, design, integration, and implementation of advanced digital subsystems used in complex SoC and ASIC environments.
This is a long-term contract opportunity based onsite in California, offering the chance to work on cutting-edge semiconductor technologies alongside highly skilled engineering teams.
Project
The engineer will contribute to the design and development of digital ASIC and logic solutions supporting high-speed interface technologies and advanced memory architectures. Responsibilities include RTL design, logic implementation, interface integration, design optimization, and collaboration with verification, validation, and system engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
Required Skills
• Strong experience in Digital ASIC and RTL design
• Expertise with PCIe interface design and implementation
• Experience working with UFS (Universal Flash Storage) architectures and protocols
• Hands-on experience with LPDDR5 and/or LPDDR6 memory interfaces
• Proficiency in Verilog and/or SystemVerilog
• Experience with digital logic design, timing analysis, and synthesis flows
• Strong understanding of high-speed digital interfaces and memory subsystems
• Experience collaborating with verification, validation, and silicon bring-up teams
• Ability to analyze and debug complex digital hardware issues
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
Nice to Have
• Experience with semiconductor test, instrumentation, or ATE platforms
• Familiarity with FPGA prototyping and emulation environments
• Experience with low-power design techniques
• Understanding of DFT, scan, and silicon validation methodologies
• Experience working on high-performance SoCs, controllers, or interface IP development
• Knowledge of advanced process nodes and modern ASIC development flows
