Gas Leak Survey Technician

Alisto Engineering Group PC, specializes in engineering design, environmental services, field services like Gas Leak Survey, LDAR and cathodic protection, with 32 years of providing services to utility companies. Must have your own vehicle in good working conditions and with the required minimum insurance coverage for field work. A minimum of 50K/100K/50K auto liability insurance is required and must be verified at the start of and during your employment. Alisto will provide a $25.00 tax-free daily allowance for travel expenses.

Installation of Natural Gas Detectors(NGD) on gas meters inside customers’ residences or businesses in the following ConEdison and Orange and Rockland Utilities service area:

-Westchester County, New York

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:

• Natural gas leakage survey and atmospheric corrosion inspection of service lines from the point of entry (POE) to the service meter
• Installation of NGD at the service meter
• Atmospheric Corrosion Inspection/Service Line Inspection (“SLI”), Building of Public Assembly Inspections(“BOPA”) and Vault Inspections
• Training on all necessary qualifications required to perform this job

Education, Certificates and/or Work Experience Requirements:

• High school graduate or GED
• 2 plus years of hands-on construction related work experience desired
• Vehicle in good working conditions with required 50/100/50 insurance coverage (car allowance to be provided)
• Good driving record
• Must take and pass a pre-employment drug test, physical and background check and must adhere to and is subject to all U.S. Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol related regulations
• Experience with use or installation electrical or mechanical equipment desired
• Excellent communication and customer support experience
• Proficient with use of tablets or smart phones and MS Word and Excel
• Ability to work outdoors and walk carrying equipment and supplies.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

• Must be able to walk for extended periods of time
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
• Must be able to work outside under various weather conditions
• Must be able to carry up to 25 lbs. for extended period of time.
• Must be able to wear personal protective gear correctly, if required
• As assigned, must be able to operate a portable drill roto-hammer (10 lbs. weight)

Must have current certification for the following Operator Qualification’s (OQ’s)

• CE107: Con Edison Inside Pipeline Inspection
• 6B: Inspecting for Atmospheric Corrosion
• 70: Properties of Natural Gas and Abnormal Operating Conditions
• 85: Meter Assembly Abnormal Operating Conditions

• SLI: CT6B, CT6A, CT08, CT70, CE107, CT85
• NGD: GAS5026
• GAS5026 (combo NGD/SLI class) : 1/30 & 2 more classes on the week of 2/21
• BOPA: CT70, CE41/42, CE72/85
• HP Inspections: CE10/15/49, CT41/42, CT70, CE72/85, CE104

Additional Technician, Clerical & Supervision Training

• Utilizing Corrosion App (ipad) SLI technician, supervisor and clerical
• Utilizing Profield (tablet) NGD field technician
• Profield web ui NGD clerical and supervision
• Utilizing ARM (tablet) SLI clerk route to ipad/BOPA/Vault/other

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $21.00 - $27.00 per hour
