Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough diagnostics using advanced automotive electrical systems, schematics, and diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
- Perform repairs on various vehicle systems including powertrain, transmissions, diesel engines, and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems).
- Execute routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and alignments to keep vehicles in top condition.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for repairs and adjustments, ensuring safety and precision.
- Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems efficiently.
- Repair or replace components related to automotive electrical systems, welding tasks, or other mechanical parts as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process.
Experience
- Proven dealership experience or extensive service technician background in automotive repair.
- Strong mechanical knowledge across various vehicle makes, especially GM vehicles or similar brands.
- Hands-on experience with automotive diagnostics, schematics interpretation, and electronic systems troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with ADAS calibration, wheel alignment procedures, and powertrain repairs including transmissions and diesel engines.
- Demonstrated ability to work with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive service equipment safely and efficiently.
- Prior experience in auto estimating or working within a dealership environment is a plus.
