Senior Associate – Insurance Coverage

Global Insurance Practice Opportunity

A leading international law firm is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Insurance Coverage team serving clients throughout Texas. While the team is based in Dallas, qualified candidates located anywhere in Texas will be considered.

This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in handling sophisticated insurance coverage litigation and counseling matters for insurance company clients within a globally recognized insurance practice.

The Role

• Insurance coverage analysis and counseling
• Drafting detailed coverage opinions and coverage advice
• Complex insurance coverage litigation
• Declaratory judgment actions
• State and federal court litigation
• Representation of insurance company clients in disputes brought by policyholders
• Direct client interaction and substantive responsibility
• Collaboration with a nationally and internationally recognized insurance team

Ideal Background

• Approximately 5–10 years of insurance coverage experience
• Experience analyzing third-party liability insurance policies strongly preferred
• Experience drafting coverage opinions and reservation of rights letters preferred
• Experience handling coverage litigation and declaratory judgment actions required
• Strong legal writing, analytical, and communication skills
• Ability to independently manage a sophisticated caseload
• Strong client-service orientation and leadership potential
• Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school required
• Active Texas bar admission required

Compensation

Expected compensation ranges from approximately $225,000 – $325,000 depending on experience, insurance coverage expertise, and overall qualifications.
