Technical Practice Lead, Workday Integrations & ReportingPosition Scope and Organizational ImpactThe Technical Practice Lead, Workday Integrations & Reporting, serves as the senior technical authority responsible for architecting, building, and optimizing an organization's Workday integration and reporting ecosystem. This role leads a team of 2–3 Workday technical professionals focused on delivering scalable, secure, and high-performing integrations, APIs, reports, dashboards, and data solutions that support HR, Payroll, Accounting, Finance, and broader business operations.As both a hands-on Workday technical expert and a people leader, the Practice Lead drives the Workday technical roadmap, establishes governance standards, and delivers innovative solutions leveraging Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, Orchestrate, Workday Reporting, Prism, and/or Extend. The role partners closely with HRIS, IT, Finance, and external vendors to enhance data quality, automation, and business decision-making.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesLead, mentor, and develop a team of Workday technical analysts and specialists, ensuring high performance and professional growthDefine integration and reporting architecture standards, coding practices, documentation guidelines, and governance protocolsOwn the Workday technical roadmap, prioritizing integration performance, data flow optimization, reporting scalability, and adoption of new capabilitiesEstablish quality assurance practices for integrations, reports, security, and data pipelinesLead the requirements gathering, design, build, testing, deployment, and support of Workday integrations using Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, REST/SOAP APIs, Document Transformation, and OrchestrateOversee integration lifecycle management including monitoring, auditing, error handling, optimization, and performance tuningTranslate complex business and technical requirements into scalable, robust technical solutionsManage cross-functional integration projects, ensuring timelines, dependencies, risks, and deliverables are effectively controlledLead the enterprise reporting strategy leveraging Report Writer, Calculated Fields, Advanced/Composite Reporting, BIRT, Dashboards, and Discovery BoardsDrive adoption of Workday Prism for data blending, pipelines, transformations, and large-scale analyticsPartner with HR, Payroll, and Finance to deliver real-time insights, compliance reporting, and operational dashboardsEnsure strong data governance through controls, audits, validations, and secure data movement across systemsIndependently manage projects, including cross-functional initiatives involving multiple stakeholdersServe as the senior escalation point for complex integration, reporting, or data issuesFoster strong partnerships across technical and non-technical teams as well as third-party vendorsManage vendor relationships and ensure seamless connectivity with downstream or upstream systemsSupport Workday biannual releases with technical impact assessments and integration validationChampion continuous improvement, automation, and modernization of Workday technical capabilitiesPerform other duties as assignedEducation and Work ExperienceBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field7 years of Workday technical experience, including 5 years of hands-on integration and reporting development3 years of people-leadership experience (managing engineers, analysts, or technical consultants)Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis skillsExcellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholdersDemonstrated success leading cross-functional projects and delivering high-quality technical solutionsProven ability to implement governance, standardization, and scalable technical frameworksAdvanced hands-on proficiency with:Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, Cloud Connect, Document Transformation, OrchestrateWorkday Reporting (Report Writer, Calculated Fields, Composite/Advanced Reports, BIRT, Dashboards, Discovery Boards)Strong understanding of Workday data structures and HCM/Payroll data modelsExperience with integration monitoring, error handling, security, data validations, and performance tuningWorking knowledge of SQL, data lakes, ETL patterns, and cross-system data flowsFamiliarity with middleware technologies (e.g., Boomi, MuleSoft, Azure/AWS integration tools) is a plusExperience with Prism Analytics (pipelines, transformations, external data ingestion) is a plusExperience developing or supporting Workday Extend applications is a plusJob DetailsJob Title: Technical Practice Lead, Workday Integrations & ReportingJob Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL Classification: Full-Time, Exempt, SalariedReports To: Director, HRIS
