You'll work closely with clients and internal teams to modernize infrastructure, strengthen security, and deliver reliable IT services built primarily on Microsoft 365, Entra, and modern endpoint management.
Responsibilities
Cloud & Infrastructure
- Design, deploy, and manage Microsoft 365 environments (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Entra ID/Azure AD)
- Support hybrid environments integrating on-prem servers with cloud services
- Configure and manage backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions
Systems & Endpoint Management
- Administer Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, and DNS/DHCP
- Manage endpoints using Intune / MDM / RMM tools
- Deploy and maintain endpoint security solutions (AV, EDR, email security)
- Patch, monitor, and optimize systems for performance and reliability
Security & Compliance
- Implement Microsoft security best practices (MFA, Conditional Access, Zero Trust)
- Assist with security assessments, remediation, and ongoing hardening
- Support compliance requirements (e.g., HIPAA, SOC 2, NIST—depending on clients)
Client Support & Projects
- Act as an escalation point for complex technical issues
- Lead and contribute to infrastructure and cloud migration projects
- Document environments, standards, and procedures
- Communicate clearly with clients—explaining technical solutions in practical terms
- Implement and maintain Azure infrastructure (VMs, networking, storage, backups, identity)
- Support hybrid environments integrating on-prem servers with cloud services
- Configure and manage backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions
Required Skills & Experience
Technical
- 3 years experience in a systems engineer or MSP role
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Azure
- Solid understanding of Windows Server, Active Directory, and networking fundamentals
- Experience with backups, DR, and monitoring tools
- Familiarity with PowerShell (automation and troubleshooting)
Professional
- Comfortable managing multiple clients and priorities
- Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills
- Clear written and verbal communication
- Organized, detail-oriented, and security-minded
Nice to Have
- Azure / Other Microsoft certifications
- Experience with VMware or Hyper-V
- Knowledge of SaaS integrations
- MSP tools (RMM, PSA, documentation platforms)
- Experience with automation and scripting beyond basics
