What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Technician II position at ALIGN PRECISION?
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Performs in-process, first article, and final inspections of manufactured components to verify compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.

Utilizes precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, indicators, optical comparators, and other inspection equipment to verify dimensional accuracy.

Interprets engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications, including GD&T, to determine inspection requirements.

Documents inspection results accurately in quality records, inspection reports, and company systems in accordance with quality procedures.

Identifies, documents, and reports nonconforming materials or products and assist with containment and corrective action processes.

Supports root cause investigations and corrective action efforts by collecting data and assisting with quality analysis.

Maintains and organizes inspection documentation, quality records, and traceability information in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Collaborates with production, engineering, and quality personnel to resolve quality issues and improve manufacturing processes.

Assists in maintaining calibration status of inspection equipment and ensures tools are used in accordance with calibration requirements.

Participates in continuous improvement initiatives to improve product quality, reduce defects, and enhance process performance.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required.

Associate degree in Quality, Manufacturing Technology, Engineering Technology, or a related technical field preferred.

Minimum 2–4 years of experience in a manufacturing or quality inspection environment.

Experience in precision machining, aerospace, or regulated manufacturing environments preferred.

Ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications, including GD&T.

Proficiency in the use of precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, and optical comparators.

Working knowledge of inspection methods, quality control procedures, and documentation requirements.

Experience with first article inspections (FAI) and inspection reporting preferred.

Familiarity with quality systems such as AS9100, ISO 9001, or similar quality management systems preferred.

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Ability to document inspection results accurately and maintain quality records.

Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with production, engineering, and quality personnel.

Basic computer skills, including experience with quality databases or ERP/MRP systems preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50lbs
- Specific vision abilities include close and distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel, as well as reach with hands and arms for extended periods of time
