Custodian

Position Summary: Maintains premises, rest and working areas of offices and industrial buildings in clean and orderly condition.  Performs a combination of: dusting furniture, walls, fixtures, or equipment; sweeping, scrubbing, mopping, waxing, or buffing floors; removing refuse; polishing furniture, fixtures, or trimmings; providing janitorial supplies; and cleaning lavatories, showers, or rest rooms. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to handle; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, or crawl. 

Pay or shift range with reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of the posting
Pay range of $18.00 - $24.00 depending on candidate skill and experience. Weekly pay with full-time benefit eligibility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

• Sweeps, mops, scrubs, and vacuums hallways, stairs, and office space. 

• Cautions tenants regarding complaints about excessive noise, disorderly conduct, 

or misuse of property. 

• Notifies management concerning need for major repairs or additions to lighting, 

heating, and ventilating equipment. 

• Cleans snow and debris from sidewalk. 

• All Other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications: 

• Experience and Education:  

• 0-2 years of relevant experience 

• High school degree or equivalent 

• Technical Skills:  

• Ability to thrive in a changing, fast-paced growing and dynamic business 

• Detail oriented and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously 

• Strong written and verbal communication skills 

• Excellent organization skills and attention to detail 

• Physical Requirements: 

• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50lbs  

• Specific vision abilities include close and distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus  

• Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel, as well as reach with hands and arms.    

• Capable of standing for long periods   

Supervisory Responsibilities: None.
