Contract

Hybrid - Boston MA (Candidate must be commutable to Boston MA)

Shift: 5:30am to 2pm

Pay rate: $65-75hr

Job Description

Our client is seeking a highly motivated Application Support Engineer Contractor to join our Technical Operations team. This position will be responsible for supporting critical applications, ensuring release deployments, troubleshooting complex issues, and maintaining operational excellence. The Role

• Monitor, support, and troubleshoot production applications to ensure high availability and performance
• Write and troubleshoot SQL queries to identify and resolve data-related issues
• Utilize Linux to investigate application and system-level issues
• Use Control-M and other orchestration tools to monitor and manage workflow processes effectively
• Operate and manage integrations using the Snaplogic platform.
• Work with ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems.
• Manage and follow change management workflows for safe and compliant release deployments
• Work with Terraform in AWS cloud environments
• Collaborate with development teams to implement and optimize modern observability platforms such as Grafana, Prometheus, or DataDog for application monitoring and alerting
  
  

Background

• Must have strong experience with SQL for querying and troubleshooting data-related problems
• Experience with Control-M or similar orchestration tools to monitor workflows
• Must have proficiency in Linux for command-line operations and log analysis
• Proficiency in Git for version control and collaboration
• Hands-on experience with Jenkins pipeline configuration and management
• Knowledge of Terraform and AWS cloud infrastructure
• Expertise in monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, or DataDog
• Understanding of financial services applications and terminology (preferred)
• Familiarity with Snaplogic or similar low code/no code integration platforms
• Familiarity with ServiceNow or equivalent ticketing systems
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with stakeholders at all levels
• Experience working in financial environments or with financial applications.
