What are the responsibilities and job description for the Private Equity Senior Associate position at Alexander Chapman?
I am working with a Leading Private Equity Firm that are looking for a Private Equity Senior Associate to join their team in Denver, CO.
- Screen transportation and logistics targets, review CIMs, build preliminary financial models, and assess fit with the fund’s investment thesis.
- Maintain and refine LBO models, run sensitivities, analyze KPIs such as route efficiency, asset utilization, fuel costs, and network capacity.
- Coordinate commercial, operational, and technical diligence, work with consultants, and synthesize findings to assess risks specific to trucking, warehousing, freight forwarding, and 3PL operations.
- Monitor existing portfolio companies, review monthly operating/financial reports, track KPIs (OTIF, load factor, margin per mile, warehouse throughput), and support value-creation initiatives.
- Prepare IC memos, presentations, and valuation updates, and communicate key insights to partners, lenders, and management teams.
