We are working with a well-established real estate investment platform focused on multifamily properties, seeking an Acquisitions & Underwriting / Investment Analyst to join its investment team. This is an opportunity for a motivated professional to contribute to the evaluation and execution of real estate investment opportunities, with exposure to financial modeling, deal underwriting, market research, and transaction analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Acquisitions & Deal Sourcing: Support the identification, evaluation, and execution of multifamily acquisition opportunities.
- Financial Modeling & Underwriting: Build and maintain detailed financial models to assess potential investments, including cash flow projections, returns analysis, and sensitivity analysis.
- Investment Analysis: Evaluate investment opportunities using key metrics such as IRR, ROI, cap rates, and discounted cash flow (DCF) analysis.
- Due Diligence: Coordinate due diligence processes, reviewing financial statements, property-level data, market fundamentals, and other relevant investment materials.
- Market Research: Analyze local real estate markets, rental trends, comparable transactions, supply and demand dynamics, and emerging investment opportunities.
- Deal Execution: Assist with transaction structuring, negotiations, and coordination with brokers, sellers, lenders, legal counsel, and other external stakeholders.
- Investment Presentations: Prepare investment memoranda, financial analyses, and presentations for senior leadership to support investment decisions.
- Portfolio & Risk Analysis: Identify potential investment risks and evaluate strategies to enhance property performance and investment returns.
- Transaction Management: Manage multiple opportunities simultaneously while maintaining accuracy, organization, and attention to detail.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience in real estate, ideally within acquisitions, investment analysis, underwriting, or financial analysis.
- Strong understanding of real estate financial modeling, valuation methodologies, and investment return metrics.
- Familiarity with multifamily properties and the factors influencing their investment performance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the ability to analyze complex financial data.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present findings to senior stakeholders.
- Excellent problem-solving, critical-thinking, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced investment environment.
