A leading middle-market private equity firm is seeking a Senior Associate to join its investment team in Los Angeles, with a dedicated focus on software and technology investments. The firm specializes in partnering with and scaling software businesses, leveraging a hands-on, operationally driven approach to value creation.
This role offers the opportunity to take on meaningful responsibility across the full deal lifecycle, working closely with senior leadership and portfolio company management teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and execute control-oriented private equity investments in software and tech-enabled businesses
- Lead financial modeling, valuation, and transaction structuring
- Conduct commercial, financial, and operational due diligence
- Support deal execution from sourcing through closing
- Partner with portfolio companies on value creation initiatives (growth strategy, operational improvements, M&A add-ons)
- Prepare investment memos and present recommendations to the investment committee
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 2–5 years of experience in Private Equity or Growth Equity (buy-side required)
- Strong track record of executing software or technology transactions
- Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills
- Deep understanding of software business models (SaaS, recurring revenue, KPIs such as ARR, churn, LTV/CAC)
- Ability to operate in a lean, entrepreneurial environment with high ownership
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact with senior stakeholders
