Job Summary
We are on the lookout for a passionate and experienced Line Cook to join our vibrant culinary team. Experienced Line Cook with a minimum of 3 years of culinary and kitchen leadership experience in a fast-paced food market, bakery, or restaurant environment. Responsible for overseeing daily kitchen operations, supervising line staff, maintaining food quality standards, ensuring efficient workflow, and supporting kitchen management in delivering high-quality food and service.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and plate menu items according to established recipes and quality standards.
- Operate and manage assigned cooking stations during high-volume service periods.
- Ensure consistency in portion sizes, food presentation, and taste.
- Prepare ingredients including chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning products for daily service.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to kitchen management.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace and equipment.
- Assist with menu preparation, daily specials, and production schedules.
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service operations.
- Train and support new kitchen team members as needed.
- Minimize food waste and maintain cost-conscious preparation practices.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of line cook experience, preferably in a bakery, market, restaurant, or high-volume food service environment.
- Must have strong knowledge with KDS, Toast POS, ERP.
- Strong knowledge of cooking methods, kitchen equipment, and food preparation procedures.
- Knowledge of food handling regulations and sanitation standards.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Reliable attendance and strong teamwork skills.
Bilingual a plus
