What We Are Looking For
Aldridge is seeking an Assistant Estimator to join our dynamic and energetic team within our Summer 2026 Assistant Project Management Bootcamp! This role will work collaboratively with the estimating team to coordinate plan procurement, bid preparation and bid review with our estimating administrators.
The APM Bootcamp offers a structured pathway into the Aldridge project lifecycle. This 15-week program integrates new hires into our processes through a combination of traditional classroom training, interactive activities, and on-the-job mentorship. Participants will gain essential skills and knowledge to thrive in their roles and contribute effectively to our projects.
The 15-week program consists of one week in Illinois, either at our Libertyville Headquarters or Des Plaines Office, alternating with two weeks at your assigned job site located within the United States. Upon completing the 15-week program, you will transition to a full-time role at your assigned project. Aldridge currently operates in 32 states.

What We Offer
The annual base pay for this role is between $70,000-$80,000. The actual pay is dependent upon many factors, including: location, work experience, education, training, transferable skills, business needs, and market conditions. What You’ll Do
Perform estimating activities and duties including:
- Reviewing project documents including contract, plans, specifications
- Attend pre-bid meetings as required, some travel may be required
- Perform quantity takeoffs and prepare complete cost estimates
- Prepare and manage material and subcontractor pricing requests
- Interface with field leadership to prepare preliminary project execution plans
- Assist with proposal preparation
- Support project management on award contracts
We are pursuing candidates with the following qualifications:
- Experience with estimating and scheduling software desired
- Construction experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office required
- Strong work ethic
- Highly detailed and task oriented
- Ability to prioritize, manage time, and multi-task
- Excellent communication
- Ability to work cross functionally with all leaders and divisions throughout Aldridge
