Givens Aldersgate is looking for an experienced Fitness Coordinator to oversee the budget, instruction, and marketing of all fitness education programs, vendor partnerships, contracted instructions, assessments, and all personal training services. In this role, you will oversee the operations of the fitness center, group fitness studio, and aquatic center.
What you’ll do:
- Manage the department budget and approve all invoices, spending, and billing related to the department.
- Supervise and maintain all spaces and equipment to ensure safety and sanitation standards.
- Build, promote, maintain, and improve resident participation in fitness programs, group fitness, and independent facility use.
- Promote, schedule, and build a personal training program.
- Manage contracted fitness instructors including invoice approval, scheduling, and notification of class cancellation.
- Approach older adults with frailties, cognitive challenges, and chronic diseases with confidence.
- Support various committees and events across all departments relevant to wellness.
What you’ll need:
- 3 years of experience in senior fitness
- 2 years of management experience
- Graduate degree in exercise science (Preferred)
- CPR/First Aid certification
- Certification by nationally recognized fitness association.
Compensation: 50,000 to 51,500
