Job Title
Educator, Area 4-H Youth Development Extension
Essential Job Functions
- Identification and formation of work partnerships with relevant local organizations, agencies and institutions to deliver educational events and activities
- Works with producers and agricultural related associations to explore strategies for improving production and profitability based on environmentally sound recommendations
- Conducts on-farm demonstrations utilizing current research-based information emphasizing soil preparation and quality; production, harvesting and the marketing of alternative crops
- Maintains a working relationship with Extension Specialists and other Area Extension Educators to develop and implement project proposals in high priority areas
- Implementation of educational programs regarding farm management, including financial management, herd health, management and business analysis, risk management workshops, short courses, tours, demonstrations, and other appropriate teaching and delivery method
- Other related duties, as assigned
