What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accountant position at Alcon Excavating?
We are currently seeking a part/full-time accountant with hands-on experience in commercial construction. This role supports our teams with financial management, billing, compliance, and cost tracking across multiple projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review contracts and ensure financial compliance
- Prepare monthly client billings and reconcile job costs
- Process invoices, subcontractor payments, and payroll timesheets
- Monitor accounts receivable and payable
- Assist project managers with financial reporting and forecasting
- Maintain lien releases, insurance certificates, and compliance updates
- Support project closeout and cost analysis
- Maintains accurate financial records and assist in the preparation of financial statements- - Contributes to general office administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (preferred)
- 2 years of experience in construction accounting (preferred)
- Familiarity with cost accounting, or similar project management tools (preferred)
- Strong Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.) and QuickBooks skills
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple deadlines
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Pay: $35,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
