Alchemy is working with an established aerospace organization seeking a Director of Operations to join their team in Milwaukee, WI.
The role will oversee and direct Production Planning, Production, Outside Services, Stockroom, Engineering, and Shop Floor Maintenance Activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure availability of manpower, including staffing, training, and qualifications required for all tasks.
- Manage availability of equipment, tooling, and materials necessary for operational tasks.
- Lead the hiring and staffing processes across operational areas.
- Conduct annual employee feedback sessions and performance reviews.
- Establish and monitor operational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and metrics.
- Develop and maintain the annual budget, making adjustments as necessary.
- Implement procedures for recurrent training needs of personnel.
- Manage financial performance of MRO operations, focusing on revenue production, margin performance, and labor efficiency.
- Oversee company production and forecast in-house workload.
- Enforce company policies and ensure compliance with FAA FAR 145, EASA 145, and other certifications.
- Ensure compliance with Customer/OEM contractual obligations.
- Maintain current RSM/QCM, Training Manual, and EASA Supplement; approve Capability List changes.
- Serve as primary liaison between the Repair Station and the FAA.
- Administer the FAA Drug and Alcohol Testing program.
Requirements:
- FAA Airframe, Airframe/Powerplant certification, or eligibility for Repairman certificate upon hiring preferred.
- 5-10 years of management experience in Part 145 component maintenance and repair station operations.
- Strong leadership, management, and communication skills.
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and production control.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
