POSITION DESCRIPTION: Under general supervision and direction, assist in the planning, organization and coordination of a pupil transportation program, assists with the scheduling and assigning of bus driver personnel, performs related clerical functions and does other reasonably related work as required. REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES: E=Essential Duties The duties listed below are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed. Establish van routes and pickup times E 2. Schedule drivers E 3. Arrange for substitute drivers E 4. Schedule routes E 5. Dispatch duties E 6. Maintain parent contact in regard to transportation E 7. Schedule vehicle maintenance E 8. Prepare and maintain records, and correspondence using Standard English E 9. Perform other related duties as assigned 10. Maintain and compile data and information regarding the pupil transportation program, and prepare concise and clear summaries as required E 11. Assist in the planning, organization and conduct of transportation personnel orientation and in-service training programs E 12. Conduct vehicle inspections and report damage, vandalism and needed maintenance E 13.
